JOB SUMMARY

As a Data Engineer at ArborKnot, you will play a pivotal role in our Data roadmap. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that supports our ML models, evaluation processes and insights across the portfolio. Your work will be crucial in enabling data-driven decision-making, optimizing recovery practices, and ensuring the seamless integration of data across our global operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain robust scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support complex data analysis and reporting.
  • Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures that support ArborKnot’s data-driven initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate diverse data sources into a unified data platform.
  • Optimize data systems and pipelines for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data processing and storage.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions i.e. Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage, processing, and management.
  • Strong data modeling skills, experience with techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau and PowerBI

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, ideally within the financial services industry or a related sector.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and systems.
  • Experience in implementing data governance and data security best practices.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, with a track record of collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to our data engineering practices
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies for project management and delivery.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing data processes and infrastructure.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders; fluent in English (written & spoken).
  • Demonstrates a strong technical background while being open to understanding and integrating the business aspects of technology.
  • Fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment with a mentorship mindset.
  • Exhibits a high level of responsibility and ownership in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with financial data, pricing models, and consumer receivables management is a plus.
  • Experience working in a global or multicultural environment is advantageous.
  • Understanding of ML concepts and processes.
