JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to support the Portfolio Manager in the end-to-end investment lifecycle of consumer NPL portfolios. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial analysis, deal underwriting, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and performance reporting. This is an opportunity to gain deep exposure to alternative credit and distressed debt investing within a dynamic and growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Investment Analysis & Underwriting:
- Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities in consumer NPLs across Australia.
Due Diligence & Execution:
- Support the execution of transactions, including coordinating legal, operational, and financial due diligence.
- Prepare investment memoranda and support internal and external presentations.
- Alongside the portfolio manager help liaise with external advisors, servicers, and originators during the acquisition process.
Portfolio Monitoring:
- Track and analyse ongoing portfolio performance against targets
- Assist the portfolio manager with insights and analytics that will be used in performance reviews with third-party service providers driving impactful portfolio decisioning and actions
- Prepare regular reporting for internal stakeholders
Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct industry, regulatory, and macroeconomic research with a focus on consumer credit and recovery trends and strategies.
- Assist in identifying new strategies or product lines within the consumer performing and non performing loans space

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, restructuring, special situations, or a similar analytical role.
Exposure to NPLs, consumer finance, structured credit, or debt collection will be highly regarded.
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Solid understanding of credit fundamentals and valuation techniques.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
