JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented and experienced Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the implementation of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across our European and Australian operations, as well as oversee the firm’s operational infrastructure and help scale our platform. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of investment operations, particularly within private credit or alternative investment strategies, and a proactive mindset to improve systems, workflows, and efficiencies across the firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to optimise operational efficiency across the company
  • Contribute to the implementation of the company’s strategic business plan.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement operational workflows to enhance scalability and reduce risk.
  • Support compliance initiatives including regulatory filings (ASIC and AFCA), operational due diligence, and internal controls in collaboration with compliance and legal teams.
  • Serve as a key liaison with IT to manage and optimize technology platforms supporting investment operations
  • Oversee customer service operations
  • All ad-hoc tasks requested pertaining to operational functions including documenting operational processes and procedures to support the operational deficiencies in the business;
  • Settle and monitor to operation team budgets

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced qualifications are a plus
  • +5 years experience in compliance and/or investment operations within the financial services and specifically the asset management sector, preferably in credit, debt markets, or NPL markets
  • Good understanding of regulatory frameworks in Europe (e.g., FCA, BaFin, ESMA, GDPR) and Australia (e.g., ASIC, AFCA, AUSTRAC).
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures, timezones and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to compliance challenges and operational needs of the business
  • Multilingual skills are a plus.

Compliance Management & Controls:

  • Implement and oversee operational controls to prevent regulatory breaches.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments related to compliance operational processes.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance issues within operational workflows.

Training & Process Optimization:

  • Continuously review and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in a compliant way.
  • Support automation and technology initiatives to better streamline the business

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Liaise with IT, Legal, Risk, Data and Portfolio teams to ensure compliance and broader business considerations are integrated into operational processes & systems.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders during audits or inquiries related to operational compliance.

Due Diligence & Vendor Management:

  • Oversee due diligence processes across both originating counterparties and third-party service providers, agents, and vendors involved in loan servicing and collection.
  • Ensure third-party compliance with regulatory and company specific standards and internal policies
