Tim has over 13 years’ experience in corporate, transaction, advisory and board, commercial and legal roles. Commencing his career at top tier Australian law firm King & Wood Mallesons in 2008, Tim advised on some of the largest and most complex transactions of that time including the Alinta debt refinance, the Glencore IPO and subsequent $90bn merger with Xstrata and the Transurban led consortium bid for Queensland Motorways and sponsor arrangements for Northconnex. Tim also worked in commercial roles at global derivatives market maker, Optiver responsible for external initiatives and partnerships. Most recently, Tim is the CEO, investor and partner of various early-stage investment vehicles investing in and providing alternative finance solutions to a broad range of sectors including credit and alternative finance, mining, data security, fast moving consumer goods, medical products and property. Tim currently sits on a number of corporate and advisory boards spanning these and other sectors. Tim has also completed various courses with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Tim has a broad corporate advisory experience, including advising in relation to M&A corporate/commercial transactions generally, ASX Listing Rule and Corporations Act compliance, corporate governance, director duties, corporate structuring, financing and general commercial advice.
Tim also volunteers in various initiatives that are connected to improving the transition for athletes from sports to careers or other passions (including as a previous advisor to the Australian Swimmer’s Association). Tim holds an LLB (First Class Honours) (UTS) and a Bachelor of Economics (Social Science) (U Syd). Tim is also a holder of a University Blue with the University of Sydney.
