How does Arbor Knot protect my personal information? 

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured fi les and buildings.

How does Arbor Knot collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Pay your bills or provide account information
  • Pay us by check or give us your contact information
  • Provide your mortgage information
  • We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.

For California Residents. We will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliated third parties, except as required or permitted by law, such as to process your transactions, and to maintain your account. We will not share your information with joint marketing partners.  We will limit sharing within our corporate family to the extent required by California law.

For Vermont Residents. We will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by Vermont law, such as to process your transactions or to maintain your account. We will not share information about your creditworthiness with our affiliates except with your authorization or as required or permitted by law. We may share information about our transactions or experiences with you within our corporate family without your consent.
